Visual Vignettes - Music Community Analysis Screen

Visual Images were required for each focus area. The images were to reflect how each category from this semester's readings could be seen in each space.
From the Clock of the Long Now, by Stewart Brand:
Fashion & Art, Commerce, Infrastructure, Governance, Culture, Nature
-These are the six levels of pace and size, in which the world is organized. Fashion and art move and change faster than nature and culture.

What is the Beauty that you see?
Dynamic opposition, Warm and Fuzzy, Beauty that Surrounds Us, Dirt to Dirt, Tactile Beauty

Water: How can water be used in this focus area?

These are the final images that I drew, and the thumbnail sketches for a group study.

The Beauty that Surrounds Us: The chaos of everyday life is surrounded by the calm of the natural environment. It acts as a balancing force.
Dynamic Opposition: Many times, people will see different colors or shapes when they hear reaction. I see brass as more geometric and bright, contrasting the cooler, smoother shapes associated with string instruments. Sound and approach create dynamic opposition.
Warm and Fuzzy: The colors and the feeling of being enveloped speak to the warm and fuzzy in music.
