About Me

My photo
Lauren Shepulski
A while ago we heard about how humans are like storms; we bring destruction to the natural environment. This destruction to our environment has sensitized us to sustainability efforts. As designers in training, we can not only learn how to deal with this ‘storm’ but we can also become the ‘storm’, in a different sense. Mobilized we have unlimited potential to better our lives and the lives of those around us. Becoming the storm is a challenge to everyone. My background is in Historic Preservation, a field that is often misunderstood, and more often than not, does not seem to communicate through modern design well. My goal is to find a way to integrate preservation and modern interior architecture in a cohesive and thoughtful way, bringing in as many fields, ideas and people as possible.
